  • if it's only been one day, you may not need to worry yet, and do not give juice until you talk to your pedi. if the baby seems uncomfortable, you can try moving his legs around like he's bicycling to loosen up any poo that may just be too hard to pass yet. i would give your pedi a call in the morning if he doesn't have a BM overnight.

  • It has only been a day so don't fret yet. I know easier said than done. I like the bicycle trick and also you can push down genlty with two fingers in a massaging motion an inch above his belly button and follow in a circle all the way around three times. If that doesn't work I would try apple over prune juice first.

  • They don't need to poop everyday.
If your baby is breastfed you he can go up to 2 weeks without pooping and it is NORMAL! My son would go only once/week.
And a formula fed baby can go 3-4 days and it's fine.
There is no reason to give juice at this point.

  • do NOT give a 3 week old juice. only worry about pooping if baby seems uncomfortable.

  • I would wait to see if your LO goes tomorrow...unless he is acting uncomfortable and what not. I would talk to your doctor first, but my pediatrician had me give my son a tiny bit of prune juice (started at a teaspoon in a bottle once a day) because otherwise he wouldn't poop at all.

  • *Recites in a toneless voice*
Your baby is not constipated. This is normal. Your baby can go quite a considerable amount of time without pooping (my 4 month old goes about once a week, my first daughter went up to 6 weeks without pooping as an infant)..
No juice. No karo syrup. No solids. Nothing. Just leave your poor baby alone!!

  • I wouldnt give him any juice. Its completely normal for them not to go poo every day. I wouldnt worry too much unless he seems to be in pain or goes several days without going.
