Does anyone else think that dogs laugh?

You know how when you scratch a certain spot on a dog (usually their tummy) they kick their leg really fast? Does anyone else think that maybe that's how dogs laugh and when they do that it's because we're tickling them?

  • I really wish I could remember where I found this.. I heard that some sounds dogs make is akin to laughter for them, and some shelters starting using this sound, piped-in to the kennels, to help keep dogs calm and happy. Heh, actually, just found it. God bless Google.

  • My dog talks to me. He's very insightful, ecspecially when my preschooler is being annoying. He even opens the back door for himself. I think dogs laugh. Why not! They seem to have every other emotion.
