What are some good diapers?

My grandson is 12 weeks old. My daughter in law is breastfeeding. They use Target brand diapers. When he poops, it goes EVERYWERE! What brand of diaper seems to stop this from happening?

  • Everyone has their own opinion on the best. I preferred Luvs. I don't think any diaper will completely prevent blowouts though.

  • I used pampers for mine when they were little babies. As they grow, different brands will work better with different bodies. DS did pampers all of the time and DD was able to do Luvs when she got a little bigger. Sometimes the brand doesn't matter. Some blowouts can't be contained.

  • We used huggies and never had any issues. We also tried the target brand and my ds would leak all the time.

  • Like other mom's say, different diapers for different body types. I used huggies for a long time. But used to have leaks (especially pee leaks) every now and then. Then when it became a regular thing I got frustrated and experimented with other brands, Kirkland, Luvs, target etc. finally I settled with pampers. No matter how big blowouts he has, it all stays in thanks goodness! He's 2 now and we're still using them. In process of potty training so hopefully will be done with diapers soon. Fingers crossed! :)

  • Cloth diapers are what worked the best with my youngest son. I BF him for 14 months and with disposable diapers he had poop up to his shoulders ! Anyway it's what worked best with my son and now he is 2 y/o and about ready to be potty trained. :)

And congrats to your daughter-in-law and son on their new baby ! :)
