What do you think of the names...?

I am pregnant with my third child, a little girl. My husband and I have 16 month old twins Benjamin and Isabella. We have narrowed the this baby's name down to two options, Adelyn Claire and Harper Sophia. What do you think? Other name seggestions are welcome.

  • Of the two choices I like Adelyn Ciare better. Adelyn is a bit different from the classical names of your other children. Adele, Linda, Diana, Sophia as the first name. Just tossing out some ideas.

  • I don't like Harper, here is the definition of the verb Harp:

harp on or upon, to dwell on persistently or tediously in speaking or writing: He was always harping on the importance of taking vitamin supplements. >>>so it almost sounds like a complainer, ya know?

I like all the other names. I can't really think of any good names to go with Sophia at the moment.

  • Is it just me or does Harper feel like more of a boys name? Sorry, but I would go with the other. They are both interesting, but Adelyn is a much better girls name.

  • I actually really like them both. Adelyn seems softer and Harper seems more outgoing, Sophia is one of my favorite names, so I'm a bit biased there. =) When I hear Harper I think of someone who plays the harp (even though thats a harpIST) or of Harper Lee, the author. Harper seeems more adult, while Adelyn is cute. I think I'm leaning toward Harper on this one!

  • a good friend of mine has a dd named harper.. she's gorgeous and her name is very unique. Adelyn is beautiful too tho. Personally I would go with Adelyn just because its more girly and pretty.

  • Harper came from the author Harper Lee, I am a big literature fanatic...I love to read and Adelyn is from my husband's cousin Madeline, who passed away when we were younger (we all grew up together), I thought that Adelyn would be something different but still able to honor his cousin.
