Can i nurse with the stomach flu? will i pass it to the baby?

  • Its fine. In fact, it passes along antibodies to the baby for the virus that you have, and helps to protect them.

  • Thats interesting Krysta, I didn't know that. Baby and I are sick together but she had it first so I guess I could't do that. :)

  • I think its fine to nurse justmake sure you don't get dehydrated....if baby is nursing and your crappin from both ends make sure to drink enough gatorade. Not water that can make it worse.

  • It' best to nurse while sick... because like the above poster said you pass on antibodies. She still might get sick, but hopefully not as bad as she would have if you hadn't been nursing.
