Help! Tmi adult content

I fear I may have colitis after taking an antibiotic, been having loose stools for days (not diarrhea, just loose bowels)(google c difficile) and I am allergic to Metrodonizole (the drug used to treat it). The other drug is Vancomycen and I can't find a damn thing on whether the drug is safe during pregnancy or not!! Any ideas?

  • Vanco is a very potent medication. Ask multiple opinions before taking this.

  • No. I just got whatever was available at the drugstore, when I needed it. I am sure other moms would have a better recommendation. I would assume any kind would be helpful!

  • my doctor told my to not take any probiotics during pregnancy..so you should ask your doc about that one too. my doctor suggested only natural probiotics such as yogurts since pill forms arent fda aproved

  • I wouldn't be able to take a medication without a doctors prescription unless it was over the counter. I'm not saying whatever is said here will have my decision made, I'm asking if anyone else had any ideas of medications that could be taken for this illness.
