Question about weight gain.

What is the "recommended" pregnancy weight gain?

I've gained about 19-20lbs and I'm 27wks.

I can't remember what the recommendation was , so im wondering of anyone else does lol.

  • It really depends on your starting weight.

As an overweight person, I do just fine with only gaining about 5 lbs. I know that those who are very thin can gain 40 lbs and still be just fine.

Honestly though, I don't worry about it too much. I try to eat healthy foods when I am hungry. Say away from junk!!

  • try not to think about that.

your doctor will likely comment too much, not enough, or just right

YOU can always lose it later. the baby can only grow once :)

  • I was always told 20-30 lbs. I'm about your size and gained 14-22 lbs with my 5 pregnancies, but I was incredibly sick each time and had a hard time keeping food down.

  • I'm not worried, I'm just curious as to whether I'm too small or just right lol
