  • yikes mikayla_lynn, i'm not against CIO, but suggesting CIO on a two week old is ridiculous! a two week old is still trying to adjust from the big change of womb to the big scary world!

to the OP, i strongly suggest picking up happiest baby on the block and googling the 5 S's SHHHHH, SUCKING, SIDE, SWADDLE & SWINGING you'll be calming your baby to sleep in no time...
    I SWEAR by IT!

  • it sounds mean...but you have to let him cry. Eventually he will give up and go to bed. also try the Johnson's Bed Time Bath...its amazing!!!!

  • Co-sleep. It's safe and safe for them, you help regulate their heartbeat and breathing. He probably doesn't like to be alone....a big open room and crib, in the dark isn't really what they're used to. Bring him close and enjoy some sleep.

  • DO NOT let a 2 week old cry it out!!! That's horrible and dangerous. Swaddle, cuddle, move him closer to you. A 2 week old does not know how to manipulate. no cio!

  • I would try an nice tight snuggly swaddle and a little "nest" roll a thin blanked and make a "U" under his butt to snuggle him

Don't let your baby CIO! Way too young... we let our son CIO but not until he was 6 months. It's crazy to let a 2 week old cry!
