Computer People: What does this message mean?

"Internet Explorer has modified this page to help prevent cross-site scripting"

This message pops up on the bottom of my computer screen every time I open up to a new page. Only on cafemom. It's annoying. How do I get it to stop popping up?

There are no options in the message bar, only an X to hide the message but the message comes right back once I move to another page.

That should give you some insight as well as a way to try to stop it. GL

  • Thanks that was informative and I followed the directions to disable XXS filter but it's still popping up! Maybe I have to restart the computer.

  • Here is how you turn Off IE pop up messages     http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Internet-Explorer-Pop-up-Blocker-frequently-asked-questions     Another link  http://www.ehow.com/how_4828349_turn-off-popup-blockers-computer.html

Just be careful when doing all of these instructions, plus might need to turn your system off all the way, then back on and in some cases clear the cache . Like going to tools delete then there will be a list of options only check mark cache.
