Painting kitchen cabinets

We're trying to buy a house and it has a completely white kitchen. I hate white cabinets, so I was thinking of painting them if everything works out with buying it, since I don't want to completely replace the cabinets. I think that we also plan to replace the counters since they are white tile.

Anyway, I need some ideas of what color to paint. Right now, my only idea is a black and white kitchen, with the cabinets black and the counters white.

Do you have any other ideas?

  • If black and white is what you like I would go with that and maybe a splash ofred. But I think it depends on the"fee" you want from it.
    I can tell you what I might like but that is me. I like sunny, bright and fresh looking so I wouldgo with walls that are white with just a touch of lemon or celadon added. Imight have curtains with appliquesd flowers as a border. It is more important to have what makes you feel good.

  • Well, the house was built in the early 80's and it doesn't look like its been updated at all. The counters right now are white tile, the kind that you normally would see in a bathroom and its kind of dingy. So something would have to be done about that part at the very least.
