What does it mean when my five month old holds his arms straight out to the sides when he is picked up?

  • He thinks he can fly? lol

    I don't think it really "means" anything. Each of my kids did something different when picked up, including holding arms out to the sides.....

  • I think it's just a baby quirk. Mine kicks his foot when you pick him up.
