A big fat list of possible baby names- which one do you like?

First name is set in stone.

Middle name is unknown territory.

SO wants Alyssa Leeanne.

I am trying to convince him otherwise. Lee is the family name passed down through the MEN. We are having a girl... I don't find it appropriate

I like Leeanne and see nothing wrong with passing the name down by feminizing it. As for the others, I like Rose the best. Most of the rest I don't think sound good with Alyssa.

Don't like Karissa and Calista. They sound too much like Alyssa.
You can do the female version of Lee, Leigh or Leah.

I like Rose or Hope have you thought of Leigh to keep the name going? I am not a fan of the spelling of Leeanne for some reason it bothers me. G/L

LeeAnne bothers me too- the spelling and the emphasis on anne at the end. Just saying it aloud doesn't make sense to me.

When I see "Leigh" i want to say "lay"

Alyssa Hope is one of my favorites.

Alyssa Ruby I like too because DDs name is Abbey Taylor after Abbey Island which is on Ruby Beach

Oh, I like Alyssa Noelle too as she should be a December baby- though it's possible for November too so that wouldn't work.

I like these names in order of most liked first: Alyssa Rose, Alyssa Noelle, Alyssa Hollie

I think the middle name should have less syllables so that it's not a mouthful to say the entire name.

One other suggestion: Alyssa Haley

I agree that names passed down from generations should not be used. So what if it's been used forever? It's not going to really matter to your kid. Kids need names that won't be made fun of, look fine as initials, and could potentially sound professional once they get older and have to start using their names for job searches and resumes.
