How Early Is Too Early For Even Braxton Hicks ?

I Have been having on & off for a few days what feels like contractions,I'm over half way into my pregnancy.

All is fine with baby the last i got checked a about a week ago.

I have no bleeding or anything so all signs are pointing to this,am i just having something else?

The labor & delivery on call nurse said,go lay down it's no big deal?

But i want some mom's advice advice on here too since i may go get following another hospital's opinion since they are playing it off.

Plus considering i have had a miscarriage in the past of twins you would think they would care.

Any advice would be great !

  • You start getting braxton-hicks sometime toward the end of the first trimester... it's all a matter of when you start FEELING them. Most people don't start feeling them until about the 20th week... but I think they can start as early as week 8... I could be mistaken though. As long as you're not having any kind of regular contractions, or any other signs of labor/miscarriage, I wouldn't worry too much.

  • ive heard you can have them throughout your entire pregnancy its just not noticeable until later....

  • Also, stay VERY hydrated... becoming dehydrated (also, not emptying your bladder often enough) can bring on braxton-hicks...
