Do people still buy each other anniversary gifts?

This weekend my boyfriend and I are celebrating our 2 yr anniversary. I know we are going out for supper. I'm thinking of buying him a card and thought about a gift but I don't know what. I buy him little things here and there that I think he will like. I have a feeling he is going to pop the question this weekend. I'm so excited for this weekend. It's been an amazing 2 yrs and I hope to spend many more and would really like to take his last name. :-)

  • We buy each other cards and go out for meals, but that's about it. If he is planning to propose, he is likely so focused on that that he won't be considering what you're doing for him. I guess that's the good news! LOL

  • I buy my husband something small for our wedding anniversary. We never celebrated dating.

  • Nope.  We prefer to spend time together.   We only do gifts or special celebrations for the milestones.

  • We usually go out for the night or spend the night somewhere (like a local resort). Nothing big or expensive because Christmas comes less than a week later.

  • No idea. When I was married we bought items for the house or a vacation.
