  • I think it sounds lovely! When I think of baby names, I try to use them on an adult...like when she is at work, will Taryn sound appropriate...and in my opinion yes it will! I think it sounds very mature...and the funny thing is, I really prefer traditional names, so this is now my exception!

  • It's sounds like Darren, it is different but no.


    Not to mention there will be alot of mispelling and not sure how to pronounce it.


    Sometimes being different it is not worth it the child is the one that has to deal with it.


    Like that movie "Never back down" the girl on the movie is named "Baha" and he says like Mexico? and she says no like my parents were drunk when they named me...lol

  • Uh.... taryn is a popular Irish name! I have known a few! I don't think that it is going to be mis-pronounced ( possibly mis-spelled but who's name isn't?) So to the idiot that posted above about it sounding like darren, if you are so "phonically exceptional" then you would realize that Taryn is a Female spelling of the Male's ( Tarin or Taren). Pick up an Irish name book (or Celtic)...
