What are some methods to stop a puppy from biting aggressively?

Whenever she puts her mouth on you even in play say " Ouch" This is simalar to how dogs tell each other when they are biting to hard except they yelp. She will back off but more then likely come right back, This is very normal but you should see that her mouth is lighter. if you are consistant with this she will learn to be gentle and eventually not put her mouth on you at all

Get lots of chew toys/bones, and don't play rough with her. We say a firm "no" if our youngest gets mouthy, and it works... We have German Shepherds, and it's in their nature to be nippy. They aren't being aggressive, they're actually just playing.

Hide your credit cards, expensive sunglasses and the air conditioner power cord. Our pup wiped those out while teething in one day! The ac was off thankfully. In answer to your question, the two posts above are spot on imho. :)

Very lightly swat them on the nose. Their nose is sensitive. This is what we did with all our dogs. Get her some chew toys. She is teething.

KyliesMom5 has given good advice. I would add that you want to direct her chewing to an appropriate toy and offer praise when she takes the toy instead of biting you.

Invest in a good sturdy chewing toy like Nila Bone is my suggestion.

Yes - I would find a really good teething chew toy and remain firm with the dog to only chew on that! G L
