What would your advice be to a young teen that is exposed to daily life with a verbally abusive father?

  • Talk to a school counselor or a teacher he/she trusts they can help you get help either with the father or to get out of the situation.

  • I would say talk to your counselor at school, because they will be able to help you. They can help you come to terms with what's being said and help him see what he's saying is hurtful, or, if that doesn't work, and you are being verbally abused, help you to a safer environment.
