Why do diabetics have to always take care of their feet?

What is it about their feet that they have problems??

  • Poor circulation from the diabetes. Our feet usually have poor circulation to begin with and when you add the added problem from the diabetes, it causes a lot of problems.

  • Due to poor circulation, the foot can actually begin to die.

  • it can cause bad circulation and cause them to get gang green from it. I dont know what it feels like i dont have to deal with it. im assuming its pretty painfull or maybe a pins and needles type feeling.

  • It's actually a total loss of sensation. You do not feel anything after a while. It's like the foot is dead. This is of course if you don't take care of your body while you have diabetes.

  • Poor circulation... I saw my uncle have to get both feet amputated cause the diabetis killed his feet basically

  • People with diabetes dont heal well so if they get a cut or a blister then it can get really bad really quickly if it is not taken care of.
