Did you read Lolita?

I just read it for the first time. It was humorous and sad and I loved it. Thoughts on this book besides the obvious pedo angle?

  • What's the book about? I've never heard of it.

  • I read it some years back. While it was interesting, I could not shake the ugliness of this man stalking and seducing a young girl, even marrying and murdering her mother to get to her.

  • He didn't murder her mother...he fantasized about it but she died accidentally.

  • It's a great book, isn't it?

A fantastic, fascinating, chilling tale of obsession and the fine line between right and wrong. And what a beautiful writing style. I loved every moment of it.

It is not "just a book about a pedophile."

  • Hi Mousuke and thank you for the intelligent perspective on this book. I laughed, I cried, I was yearning for more of their story. It was so well done and the characters are people that you really can care about.
