could the pregnancy test be wrong?

well. two weeks ago my boyfriend and i were having sex and the condom kinda came off and he had already cum and i pulled it out tip first by accident, and by that time i had been ovluating. and this whole last week i had been feeling fatuiged and nauseated. but when i took a pregnancy test it said that i wasnt pregnant. and not that my period is a couple days late. i dont know what to do. so i was wondering if there is anyway that the test might've been wrong.

  • Well, first of all, wait until you have missed your period. HPTS are not designed to test before you miss your period. The closest one is the EPT test and you can test as early as 5 days before your missed period, but it may still come back as a negative. You can get a false negative. Wait until you are supposed to get your period, if it doesn't come, then test again. You're "symptoms" may be nothing other than a stomach bug, which is going around right now. And any time you have sex, especially when you think that you are ovulating, you can become pregnant. Every woman is different, however, experiencing nausea and fatigue so soon is highly unlikely. You start to experience the nausea when your HcG levels are higher around 4 to 8 weeks along. So, just wait until your period and take it from there.

  • Take another test in a wk or so if you still haven't had your period. You could be stressing out thinking you're pregnant and that's why you are a couple days late.

  • im not stressing too much about it. but i dont know. i usually get bad cramps before my period and this month nothing came. im also thinking that i mightve peed on the test a little bit too long and i forgot to put the cap back on the test. i took the one that works five days before your missed period. will peeing on it too long affect the test?

  • I don't think that too much pee would effect the test. Wait a couple of days and re-test. If your period still hasn't come and the tests are still negative, then go get a blood test done.
