question about carseats....

My son will be 2 1/2 next month and he is already 35lbs and is about 37inches tall and he is starting to outgrow his car seat he just has one of those ones from Wa lmart the convertible ones that i got for $40 anyway what would be the next step up without having to pay an arm and a leg for a new one? I dont have a lot of money and i know the ones with seat belts are NOT ideal but i am not sure what kind of car seat would be best after the convertible ones...and like i have said....i dont have a lot of money

  • Either another convertible with a higher weight/height limit, or they make boosters with a 5-point harness. Look around on-line, or go somewhere like Babies R Us just to see what's out there (they probably have the best selection if you want to actually look at the seats).

  • The Graco Natuilus would be the last seat you'd need. It works as a full toddler seat - with 5 point harness - until 65 pounds. And it works as a high-back or even backless booster seat until 100 pounds.
