Have you or your child ever had Fifth's Disease?

Both my boys were diagnosed with this virus today. I was just wondering....

  • By the time the rash and red face develop the virus is no longer contagious. It is a very mild virus that most children have no symptoms until the red face occurs. So if any treatment is required it would probably only be children's Tylenol or Motrin.

  • My 3 oldest have had it. It's usually very mild and not a big deal.

  • We all had it last month. I was pregnant, my 5 year old SS got it. He got a mild rash and fever that never bothered him. I had mild cold symptoms. No big deal.

  • All three of my girls have had it, not a big deal. A cold, a rash, the worst part we had was some really gross discharge from their ears when they were getting better.

  • 2 of my boys had it. One needed nothing really the other a little motrin and some benedryl for the itching.
