What do you think of the name Nehemiah and Naima?

I am not using these names just curious your thoughts on them, they are interesting.

Nehemiah- (Ne-ha-my-ah)
Naima (NI-ee-ma)

  • one sounds Biblical. the other looks difficult to pronounce. why do people do that to their kids?

  • A friend of a friend named her son Nehemiah I had never heard of it before.

    My nieces name is Naima, I believe my sister got it from Americas next top model. It has grown on us.

  • My neighbors sons name is Nauticus. I thought for sure he would get teased for his name but he never seems to. My nieces name gets mispronounced often as nay-ma or neema

  • Nehemiah is a Biblical name- It's kind of cool...but I think would be kind of a pain to have I bet it gets mispronounced and spelled wrong a lot. I don't really like it

  • My SIL's FIL is Nehemia, but in Hebrew it is pronounced Ne-chem-yah. Nice guy.

    I would mispronounce your niece's name, giving it a Hebrew pronounciation - Nah-ee-mah.
