Birthday party thank you's?

So my dd is having a b-day party-are you expecting a thank you note after the party? I say YES! My hubby says it doesn't matter?

  • All 7 of my kids send out thank you's and if they are too young, we do it for them!

  • Absolutely. They went out of their way to pick a gift for your child, so it's the proper thing to do. I have had my DD help with them since she turned 3.

  • I take a group shot of the party and use that as a thank you- you can have them made in to cards cheap at Walgreens-

  • I think that it's a choice personally. I live in the South and yes, thank you cards are a must. But, I am also aware of the numerous gifts at a party that children can get from adults and children. At certain ages, kids don't understand what thank you notes are for so sending one to a kid who's give your kid a pencil box that he got out of his closet that wasn't used because he didn't like it in the first place is a little ridiculous to me. Older kids need to be encouraged to do it on their own not forced.
