Hi.I'm 12 week pregnant and my thyroid level is 6.45.Any advises?I,m really scared!

  • I could be wrong, but I think 6.45 is high for TSH (I'm assuming that is what you had tested) and that means your thyroid is underactive. If this is the case, you don't need to worry too much - just keep your appointments and take your thyroid hormone pills (they are safe to take during pregnancy because they are a hormone that your body naturally produces).

  • That number is just a little elevated for a TSH. If your doctor is concerned or if you are ask them to do further thyroid testing. TSH, Free T4, Free T3. Probably will be fine.
