Monster Truck Birthday Cake....need some help please

Hey Ladies, I am going to be making a monster truck birthday cake for my son's birthday. If anyone out there has made one I would really love to see a pic and what exactly you used for it. Thanks for your help.

  • Hi, the Wilton site has tons of shaped cake pans and lots of great ideas. I recently bought a Lightning McQueen cake pan, and it came out great. They give you step by step instructions. I was thinking about doing a Monster Truck cake next year. Maybe make a cake in a loaf pan or stack 2, 9 by 13 cakes and cut into a truck shape and use either doughnuts covered in black fondant or just chocolate doughnuts for the tires, then decorate into whatever truck your son likes. • thanks ladies. I also saw the monster truck cakes on google, I think we are going with a flat cake made like an arena and then actually putting a couple trucks going over a couple crashed cars! Thanks for the help.
