How Long Can You Be Without Power?

Except for summer and even then I have options, Indefinitely. I have my own hot spot for the internet, and a portable solar generator no gas needed. PS I sell them and it really works. Stove is natual gas. How long you can hold out? What do you do.?  Have food on hand

  • We have a generator, a gas grill and kerosene lamps.  So if we can keep gas and propane and Karosene. We would be ok for a long time.

  • I lived in an apt for a month or two with no power...and had a friend who had no power at her house for like a year!
*though she did borrow electricity from the neighbor to run her stereo at times ;)
that was years ago though- not sure how I'd do now that we have computers and whatnot

  • As long as we can get gasoline we can go indefinitely. Just got the bigger generator and connection to breaker panel before this storm. We have no water without electricity and that was what broke us during Irene!

  • I have camping gear I could drag out, but even then in order to cook it would have to be done outdoors. Wouldn't work in inclement weather. My stove is electric.

We would most likely die if something were to happen. I never have any sort of supplies stored in case of a natural disaster.
