  • Pull-ups are a waste of money, really. Put underwear on your child, but only when you are around to keep close watch. When & if they go in them, they will feel icky & they won't want to do it anymore. He/she should feel ready to use the potty shorty thereafter. If they whine at all, just say "sorry, but you are not wearing diapers or Pull-Ups anymore, you're too big. Unless you want to walk around with poopy pants, you really need to start using the potty like Mommy & Daddy do." It worked for my daughter. Good luck :)

  • 1. have a big boy/ girl party. give up the sippy cup, pacifier if possible, diapers, have a cake and parade, and get them new underwear
    2. hang a sheet of paper in the bathroom and let them add a sticker every time they attempt to go potty
    3. give them 3 mini m&ms after the sticker
    4. put them in undies (stay home a few days) and take them often to the potty even when they say they don't want to go. bring books, sit with them, try and give it time...

  • make it into a game. If training a boy put cherrios in the potty for target pratice. If a girl try some water coloring tablets she can drop in AFTER she makes potty to see how the water changes. My second finally trained when eh was told he could have an "I'm POTTY TRAINED!" trpohy. It worked in a week.
