  • stash it away somewhere and forget about it, HIDE it if you have to, maybe set up a savings acct with the bank where they take out the $25 before you even see the rest of your check? my mom had a "Christmas Savings acct" at her local credit union that would just automatically deduct $50 from her check every month before direct depositing the rest in her checking and it helped her save cause she never really SAW that $50 until December when she'd go take it all out, kwim? :-/ idk, we're struggling too but we just keep on trying to save...

  • Roll change, or get one of those bank accounts that puts the change from debit card purchases into a savings for you. Look for areas to cut back. For example, if you have a starbucks habit, make your coffee at home for a week, and throw the $4 you spend there in a jar and watch it add up. Same thing with Sweet tea drinkers, smokers, Monster/Red Bull addicts, etc.

  • Pay yourself first with the $25 and track your spending. Cut out unnecessary expenses.
