School fund raiser question

i have three kids in the same school, and they each brought home a card they made for christmas. the boxes are $20 a piece. i don't have the extra $60 for a box of each, would i be out of line by asking my mom and grandma help in paying for the cards?
i only want one of each as a keepsake, they can have the rest of them.
what would you do?

  • My parents and inlaws always buy from the kids school fundraisers. I like the idea of you each buying a box and then splitting each box between you so you all have a few of each.

  • No, I don't think it's out of line. You can always ask and they can say no if they want.

  • You could each buy a box and then mix them up so that you all get some of each

  • Anywho doesn't matter, you can always ask!

I wouldn't pay for any of it, so you're 20 bucks ahead of me! :( They shouldn't expect people to be able to afford this stuff!

  • I'd ask for the help and then mix up all the cards and split them up.

  • What would I do? Ignore the fact there was even a fundraiser, thn write the school a check for what I would have spent.
