How often do you sterilize your sponge before you finally replace it?

either by putting it in the microwave or dishwasher.

  • LOL,My 1st reaction was that you were talking about the TODAY sponge for BC!
    I was like ewwwww,you're reusing those?!
    I use rags,but I would sanitize after every use

  • I use dish rags and wash them in clorox and Gain.

  • I use a sponge to wash off dishes and put it in the dishwasher. I use C lorox wipes to clean cabinet tops, stove and refrigerator.

  • I have never sterilized a sponge in my life. When they fall apart, I replace them.

  • before I had the dishwasher I would wash it in the washer with the other cleaning rags once every other week or so and just wash them by hand in super hot water and vinegar between.

  • I put mine in the dishwasher daily as I run it but the second it starts to get a smell I toss it.

  • I use scruffies more than sponges, but they have a cycle - dishwasher a few times a week, when they start to fall apart they get downgraded from dishes to kitchen scrubbing to bathroom scrubbing to garbage
