Could this be a false negative?

i've been trying to conceive for a few months now and this month has been different from any other, aunt flow is normally right on time every month and heavy the first two days then slows down the last three, well this month aunt flow was due nov 4th, but didn't show. then yesterday the 11th i got aunt flow but very light and today she's so light i barely have blood on the tissue. i've been having pregnancy symptoms such as tiredness, headaches, tender breast, but when i took a pregnancy test it came up negative and that's when i realized aunt flow had arrived. i don't know if it's a false negative or not ladys please help, what do you think.

  • You can try in a few days and try again with the home pregnancy test if not you can go to the doctors and they can give you a blood test to tell if you're pregnant. Also make sure your doing instructions right and the test isn't expired.

    Good luck!

  • It is possible, but the only way to really know is to retest in a couple days. Have you been stressed? Gained or lost any weight? Changed your exercise habits? There are so many things that can throw off your cycles or flow. If you're TTC, you might want to be careful of these factors to make sure that you stay on a predictable cycle. Also, you might want to look into charting if you're not already doing so, because not only does it help nail down your dates of ovulation, but also can give you an idea of whether or not you're pregnant before you even miss a period given changes in your body temperature.

    Good luck!!
