It's just when we are first starting a fire, all the flues are open and we cleaned the chimney pipe and took the wood stove out and cleaned it all out. The smoke isn't going up properly and I don't know why? Once the fire is burning it goes up.Answer Question

You need to create an updraft... as Nannie B said open the bottom vent or roll up some paper, light it and hold it at the base of the pipe for a moment, then light the fire.
