  • If it is then I am apparently killing myself and my baby. I love dark chocolate...

  • No, not true. Just in moderation, like anything else.

  • Uh, why? I eat chocolate all the time. Did with my first pregnancy, too. Where on earth did you hear this?

  • i think this girl was trying to make you feel sorry for her, unless she developed a sudden allergy to it, which is possible but not likely.

  • I think they tell you in moderation because too much sugar can lead to gestational diabetes. Also probably has to do with the caffeine in chocolate and soda - they do say to limit that. But I eat a candy bar at least 3 times a week - I absolutely need it!

  • The problem is caffeine. Most doctors recommend 300mg of caffeine at most a day so 2 cups of coffee (reg coffee has about 150mg per cup). Black tea has about 80mg per cup, and soda has about 30-60mg per cup. :)

All things in moderation. Chocolate has caffeine but obviously not as much as soda or coffee. :)

  • NO! I EAT CHOCOLATE TOO AND THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. IN MY CULTURE YOU CAN'T EAT PEPPER, BUT I ATE A LOT WHEN I WAS PREGNANT.
