  • Nope I like my men big. How terrible though to be ashamed of your husband.

  • No, I would think you would still love that person. My poor mother weighed 98 pounds and when she was ill with congestive heart failure and kidney failure she blew up like a ballon. Of course I was only too happy to be able to go anywhere with her. I was never ashamed. I would give anything for one more day with my mother.

  • Absolutely not! Not for one single minute. I'm blessed every single day that he's in my life. Weight doesn't change that

  • No, I would not be embarrassed! How ridiculous!

You know, being blind is a pain in the ass at times, but I have to say, blindness is the great equalizer. I don't know or care if someone is obese or model hin. I don't care if the person is black, white, brown, red, yellow, or avocado green. I don't care if he or she is wearing a jogging suit or a leisure suit. Diamond chokers and Rolex watches don't impress me because I don't even notice them. I make my judgments about people by whether they're nice to me or not, whether they have manners. In other words, they get a chance to be themselves. I really think people who can see miss out on a lot. I've known some nice guys who would make people cut over to the other side of the stree because they wore leathers and had tattoos. I've also known some people the world considered beautiful, who were very difficult to be around because they knew they were beautiful, too.

  • Shallow much? So you'd expect him to be ashamed of you if you put some weight on?

  • NO!
What happened to "for better or worse"?

Answer by butterflyblue19 at 3:28 PM on Nov. 16, 2012

  • Embarrassed, no. Worried, yes. My DH is about 250 right now. Guess what? I think he is super sexy, maybe not to everybody, but he is to me. I do want him healthy so we are exploring some weight loss options now. I've gained 20 lbs since I met and married him.

  • No, but I don't really hold hands in public anyway....

Answer by m-avi at 3:33 PM on Nov. 16, 2012

  • Nope he is the man I married no matter what he looks like. He isn't embarrassed by what I look like either.

Answer by Dardenella at 5:15 PM on Nov. 16, 2012

  • I've been with my husband through a 60 pound difference. He started around 150 lbs went up to 210 lbs and stayed there for about a year. He lost the weight again, but I barely noticed the difference. Even 150 lbs... I married him for who he is on the inside, not on the outside. You can't build a life with someone on physical attractiveness alone.
