My aunt had a miscarriage and gosh she lost alot of weight is this common?

i understand she lost alot of blood but dang she lost weight around 10 lbs from just looking at her...the doctor said this was normal. has this happen to anyone who had a miscarriage? she was only 4 months. when i was there with her i had many questions. i also didnt know a baby can pass through you in a form of clots until youre 5months maybe. thats what the doctor said it sound strange...she still has her stretch marks and etc just the lost of weight

  • It sounds like maybe your aunt's baby hadn't developed as fast as it should have. A friend of mine's niece lost a baby at four months, and he was perfectly formed, only tiny, like he could fit in the palm of your hand. How long has it been since the miscarriage? It could be normal that she lost ten pounds, just from blood and fluids and the like, but it could also be that she's not eatingwell if she's depressed and broken-hearted. I'm sorry for her loss.

  • Having a miscarriage as in weight loss. Is like going full term. Most women loss a lot of the weight quickly. Like the doctor said, common.

  • thanks everyone and ballad i think that also too and its been a month now im not for sure on the timing.... but it wasnt far away and yea the doctor said the loss of blood and fluid made her lose weight and lost of appetite
