How long would an opened can of Prego spaghetti sauce be good for in the fridge?

The things they don't tell you. Would it be the same amount of time as regular sauce? (that would be 3 days by my time)

  • I usually let mine go a week and it's fine.

  • I would say 3-4 days. I *might* go 5 if it had no meat in it and I heated it through really good.

  • As long as it's not still in the can, I think you'd be safe at 3 days max. I wouldn't ever keep anything in the can though...

  • 2-3 days - but put it in a plastic or glass container instead. The can in the fridge does something and it'll make it taste odd.

  • we use sauce still in the jar for awhile - a week or two out because I buy the big ones from Costco, and they don't get fully used in one meal and it's always been fine
