  • I bake mine and then mash them with a little butter and salt
There is pepper and salt on the table if others want to add to it as well as additional butter
Sometimes I put a little nutmeg or paprika in as well. We do not like them sweetened.

  • Cook several sweet potatoes until soft, or take them from a can (I did them fresh). You want to end up with 3 cups of sweet potatoes. I did twice the recipe, and did the sweet potatoes in a pressure cooker, but you can bake them or peel/cut/boil them.

When they are soft, let them cool… otherwise you’ll cook the eggs. Add 2 eggs, ½ cup butter, ½ cup milk. Add 1 regular size can of sliced pears (drained).

Blend all ingredients thoroughly. Cover with some brown sugar and ground ginger. Bake for 30 minutes in greased casserole dish at 350 degrees. Add marshmallows to the top for just long enough to melt them.
