If someone handed you a VHS tape, could you play it?

I haven't had a VCR in 5+ years. When we were going through all our old stuff, I came across a VHS tape of a school play I was in (1993). No way to play it for my kids.

  • Yes we have one. It's so fun to watch old home movies once in a while. I am eventually going to get them changed over to DVD

    Google- you should be able to find someplace in your area that'll convert the vid to disc

  • Yes I could. Our VCR is shoved under a couch for storage, and gathering dust, but we'd be able to play it. Half of our movie collection is still on VHS. We don't watch them much, but we are able.

  • Yep! We're still at the point that if we need a new DVD player we'll only buy one that is a combo VHS player. We actually have 3 working VCRs in the house right now.

  • Nope. I think I gave our last one to the school a couple of years ago. They still play movies on VHS.
