I was at Joann Fabric with DS and he saw something that looked kind of like cross-stitch or something similar and said he wanted something like that, BUT it has to be a "boy design" meaning pirate or...something along those lines.
Does anyone know of anything like this?

Check Herschners. Mary Maxim might have some, too, but they're more yarn based, and don't have much for embroidery or ccs. If you're willing to branch out beyond kits, there are hundreds of pattern books out there, too. You have to get those first and then go get the aida cloth and floss on your own.
