Is it gone for sure...?

DD had a fever of 102.9 yesterday, it went down to 100 last night. This morning she was still a lil hot, but then it just went away an hour later...is it gone for sure, or is this just from the medicine I have been giving her?

  • if you've been treating the fever then odds are it's just a result from the medicine.
i would skip the next dose and see if the fever returns or not. typically a high fever can indicate an infection and if that's the case you might want to have her checked out by your ped.

  • If you've been giving her a fever reducer (tylenol, motrin, etc.) then no, it might not be gone for good. Even if you haven't, it could come back. Give her a day or two and see how she is doing.
