Eek. Did I waste $$$$. Kindle Fire question.

Amazon Cyber Monday lured me into buying my 16 yr old a Kindle Fire. I have been reading reviews and some say you can't get youtube. Is this true?? Besides reading he loves youtube... Did I just waste a lot of money?

Tell me I didn't, please.

  • Kindle Fire has its own web program, not sure what its called. and I honestly have never tried to get on YouTube on mine but i'm sure there is an app or something out there that would help your son to get on YouTube, they have ones for Facebook and pretty much every other kind of popular site so i don't see why not? :-/

  • Kindle Fire comes with it's own security feature. It does automatic updates, no worries about getting viruses etc.

  • I think Kindle uses droid based technology. There's nothing I CAN'T do on mine that I do on my laptop, (other than create documents) but I use it mostly for reading, since that's what I wanted it for.
