  • My mother in law is a gem.. what a sweet old woman. We hardly ever see her but it's nice when she's around.

My father in law lives in another state.. He visited us once for a month straight and drove me crazy. What an unpleasant, grouchy man.

  • Yes. I think my dh would have had a really hard time if his parents didn't like me, he's real big on family. His mother is very good to me.

  • Nope. His sister isn't bad, but the rest are not nice to me unless they get everything they want, so I don't deal with them at all. They used to communicate with DH through me and were obnoxious in emails, texts and calls. He couldn't understand what all the bad feelings were about. Now that they deal directly with him he see's it in a different light and completely understands my opinion of them. :P

  • Yes, I have a wonderful relationship with my inlaws. My parents-in-law are amazing people with whom I am quite close. My BIL's are two of my best friends. My SIL and I don't see eye to eye on a lot of things, but our relationship is still decent and one of mutual respect and caring. And all of my BIL/SIL's spouses are awesome too. I got lucky, for sure.
