how should this be taken ?Girl.: do you miss me? answer:like a rash!

my ex b/f and i broke up finally after 6 mos , of making the break and moved on he moved to Az I am in Co , he supposedly has a new G/f ... we dont text or talk much for the past 3-4 monthes , he text me just recently to ask if I would call him he lost his phone , so i did , then 3 days later he says he got another phone and wanted my number .... were both in our 50's .... he is crude at times but, I know him so well that when he's down he melts like puddy and can have a heart... his mom passed a year ago this christmas... could have something to do with it ...
