Sulfa? bactrim?
what are the odds of developing a drug allergy to bactrim after taking it a lot of times? My dd takes it a lot, but i've heard its rare to develop an allergy

I am allergic to Sulfa, but the allergy was obvious the first time I took it. I don't know about developing an allergy to it over time.

One of my dd's had to take it repeatedly, like every three to four weeks, for over a year. She did develop hives from it. I thought it was chicken pox at first, but when the spots got as big as a quarter in less than an hour, I knew it wasn't that! (this was before the chicken pox vaccine, too.)
