  • Leave it. We take a small radio and that's just in case of weather. When we're on vacation you usually don't even get cell service in a lot of the areas we go.

  • We took it on vacation this year, but never on family visits.

  • Depends where we're going and how long we'll be gone. Last summer when we visited friends for a week, and last winter when I visited the same friend for 2 days myself, I took it. In a few weeks when we go to a resort with my whole side of the family, I won't (but I have my blackberry if I feel the need to stay connected, lol).

  • I would take it. I'm a writer, and I would want to have it so I could write on the trip up (we'd drive, and I'd go with my parents, and my dad won't let anyone else drive lol). I wouldn't get much writing done while I'm there, but right before bed, I probably would get a little done, so I'd want it with me to be able to do that.

  • We always take it to use to download pictures and to check email. Almost everywhere we stay has free wifi now.

  • I only take it on business trips, not vacation. If I really need internet I use my phone.
