How long do you leave your tree lit?

Our tree stays on during the day if it's gloomy out, and on at night obviously. Some nights it doesn't get unplugged - I've found it makes an excellent nightlight for coming downstairs with in the mornings when its still dark out.

Ours stays lit 24/7 - it takes so little electricity these days and it makes for a cheery room when you get up in the morning :)

Ours usually gets plugged in around 4:30pm or so when it starts getting dark and we like to just have the tree lights in the living room, plus the light from the tv and computers :P Then I remember to turn it off before I go to bed around 10:30 or so. I never leave it on all night, even though it is an artificial tree and has VERY little chance of catching fire I just learned from an early age not to leave the lights on overnight in case they overheat...

We plug it in when we get up in the morning, and turn it off when I go to bed. When Santa brings the presents on Christmas Eve, he turns them back on - that's how we know he's been here. ;)
