  • Your mucus plug is a thick plug that seals your cervix, protecting you and your baby from infection.

Discharge is a natural secretion made by your body to naturally clean out your lady parts of any nasty bacteria's and things of that nature.

  • You will definitely be able to tell the difference when you lose your mucus plug.

  • Some moms never do see it or lose the plug in small chunks with discharge or a bowel movement (undetected). But if you do see it then you might notice it resembling a giant snot loogie.

  • Discharge is just the normal stuff your used to seeing. The runny egg-whites looking stuff and the mucous plug is like a cork and not that runny. It can be tingined with blood but somtimes not but you will deff know the difference.
