My daughter is sleeping for fourteen hours straight, plus taking a morning nap for two hours, should I be worried?

My daughter (she is 11 months) was on a fairly regular schedule of two 1 1/2 hour naps a day and sleeping around 9 to 10 hours at night. For about a week now she still takes her morning nap for about two hours and is going down between four and five in the afternoon and not waking up till six the next morning. Is this normal???

  • Sounds pretty normal to me, sounds like she is going through a growth spurt. I would not be concerned unless during the hours that she IS awake she is not eating, drinking, and/or is acting lethargic. But if she is full of energy and eating well, then I would not be worried.
