  • It was the human nature of Christ that died. Divine beings cannot die. This is pretty heavy theological stuff! :)

  • God and Jesus are one in the same, depending on who you ask. However, assuming that God was dead makes the assumption that God is a finite being. God has infinite power and could be several people at one time if 'He' so desired. So just because one form of God died (though Jesus was ultimately risen from the dead) doesn't mean God is dead.

  • In Abrahamic faiths, God is the same, it is the prophet that differs. In the Christian faith, Jesus was the son and prophet of God.
